SOMERMOVIE FEST SHIFTS TWO LOCATIONS FOR SUMMER 2012 SCHEDULE

Blessing of the Bay Boathouse (7/19), City Hall Concourse (8/23) Added to Seven Hills Park and Argenziano School/Lincoln Park Venues; Dates and Film Lineups Remain Unchanged

SOMERVILLE – Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone announced today that the City is moving two of its SomerMovie Fest shows to new locations.  The July 19th showing of “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part I” will now be held at Blessing of the Bay Boathouse at 32 Shore Drive in Ten Hills, while the August 23rd presentation of “Arthur” will now be at the City Hall Concourse, 93 Highland Ave.  All other film selections, dates and locations remain unchanged.

“Seven Hills Park next to Davis Square remains our primary location, but we have always experimented with alternatives in other parts of the city. Access, parking, noise and viewing problems caused by adjacent street, walkway or building lights are all factors. The concourse has served us well in the past and the boathouse seems like a promising location, so we wanted to give it a try,” said City Cable Manager Steve DeCarlo
