the victims of Monday's attack at the Boston Marathon. Thursday, April 18, 2013
Due to the Bunker Hill Holiday on Monday, June 17, all City offices
except schools will be closed. Somerville Public Schools will be open.
Also, please note that trash and recycling pickup will be on a normal
schedule for the week. Street sweeping is also in effect and on a normal
schedule for the week, but parking meters will not be enforced on
Monday.
In accordance with the conditions of the Department of Environmental Protection's (DEP) Alewife Brook/Upper Mystic River Variance we are hereby notifying you that a Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) occurred at CAM401B on June 7, 2013 and discharged into the Alewife Brook.

Beginning at Somerville High School, the parade will continue along Highland Avenue, through Davis Square to Holland Street, and onto Broadway before ending at the Cemetery in Teele Square. Ceremonies will be held rain or shine. The following streets will be closed from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.:

Auditions for The Sunsetters 2013 Season will be held on Thursday May 9th at 6:00 P.M. in the Somerville High School Cafeteria. Please bring a CD with your music on it, or be prepared to sing without music. Auditions are open to kids ages 12 to 18 ( or entering grade 12). The City of Somerville Water Department is conducting a Flushing Program throughout the water distribution system. The City will be flushing hydrants and operating gate valves to maintain the distribution system. This work will take place weekly between the hours of 11:00 P.M. Monday through 7:00 A.M. Tuesday. Residents may experience a short period of water discoloration during the flushing and shortly thereafter. Though the water may be discolored, it is safe to drink.
