Due to the Bunker Hill Holiday on Monday, June 17, all City offices except schools will be closed. Somerville Public Schools will be open. Also, please note that trash and recycling pickup will be on a normal schedule for the week. Street sweeping is also in effect and on a normal schedule for the week, but parking meters will not be enforced on Monday.

Auditions for The Sunsetters 2013 Season will be held on Thursday May 9th at 6:00 P.M. in the Somerville High School Cafeteria. Hydrant Flushing Program

The City of Somerville Water Department is conducting a Flushing Program throughout the water distribution system. The City will be flushing hydrants and operating gate valves to maintain the distribution system. This work will take place weekly between the hours of 11:00 P.M. Monday through 7:00 A.M. Tuesday.

Residents may experience a short period of water discoloration during the flushing and shortly thereafter. Though the water may be discolored, it is safe to drink.
